How long does it take for you to mail my license to me? |
| A: |
The Oregon Insurance Division no longer issues printed initial, renewal, or replacement licenses. All license information for active
licensees will be available only on our Web site. To view your license status or to print a copy, please use one of the Search Pages below:

Agencies Includes all firms licensed as insurance agencies, insurance consultants, independent insurance adjusters and life

I changed my individual producer business address. Why wasn't my agency affiliation updated? |
| A: |
Changing a producer's address is the responsibility of the individual producer. Updating agency affiliations is the responsibility of
agency owners and directors. Agencies are required to report changes in affiliation within 30 days of the change. |

I changed my individual producer business address. Why wasn't my agency address also updated? |
| A: |
The Producer Licensing Unit cannot change an agency address without authorization from the agency owner or director. If you are the agency
owner or director and want to change both your individual and agency license, please state clearly on the address change request that you
are an agency owner or director and that you want to change both addresses. |

I submitted a change of address for the agency. Why weren't all the producers' business addresses changed? |
| A: |
Each producer is required to notify us of address changes within 30 days. The Producer Licensing Unit does not have authority to change
a producer's license without a producer's authorization. This protects a producer's information from unauthorized changes. |

How long does a licensed producer need to keep agency records? |
| A: |
Licensed insurance producers need to keep agency records for three years after the policy expiration date. |

Can I keep agency records in scanned form? |
| A: |
Yes. Agency records may be scanned and saved in a computer in lieu of the original paper documents. |

Can I share commissions? |
| A: |
Yes. A license is not needed to receive commissions. |

Can commissions be paid to a non-licensed person? |
| A: |
Yes, as long as the non-licensed person was not selling, soliciting and negotiating insurance in order to receive the commissions. |

Can I offer a gift to potential clients? |
| A: |
Yes. However, if you offer a gift, you must offer it to all potential clients and not just those who purchase a policy. Offering gifts
only to clients who purchase a policy may be considered to be a rebate and rebates are not allowed under Oregon law. |

Can I renew online? |

Individual producers may renew online at nipr.com Address
changes cannot be made online during the renewal process. Address changes must be signed by the producer and may be sent by mail, fax, e-mail
or done online through nipr.com. |

I misplaced my license renewal notice-what do I do? |
| A: |
You may call the Producer Licensing Unit at 503-947-7981 and request that a duplicate renewal notice be mailed to you. If your license
is expiring in the current month, we can e-mail you a duplicate renewal notice. Please send your request to web.insagent@state.or.us |

My license expired-how do I reinstate it? |
| A: |
If your license has been expired for one year or less, you can reinstate your license. A license that has been expired for more than
one year cannot be reinstated and you must reapply.
A nonresident producer needs to submit double the renewal fee to reinstate. A resident producer needs to submit double the renewal fee
along with continuing education credits, if applicable, and a signed statement attesting that they have had no felony or misdemeanor conviction
in the previous renewal period. |

I moved and didn't get my license renewal notice. What should I do? |

If you've moved since your last license renewal, send us your current address with your request for a duplicate license renewal notice.
You may call the Producer Licensing Unit at 503-947-7981 to have a duplicate notice mailed. If renewing in the current month, please submit
your request, along with your change in address, to web.insagent@state.or.us. |
