State revokes Grants Pass insurance agent's license

The Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS) has revoked the insurance agent’s license of a Grants Pass man, Charles Anderson, for numerous violations of the Oregon Insurance Code.

An investigation by the DCBS Insurance Division found that Anderson violated state law in 17 instances by misappropriating or illegally withholding insurance applications and premium payments. He also failed to deposit insurance premiums into a premium trust account in four instances.

In addition, Anderson didn’t tell a Grants Pass man that his insurance company had canceled his auto policy. Consequently, the man was not insured when he was involved in an auto accident.

Anderson agreed to the revocation and to a lifetime ban from working in the insurance industry in Oregon.
